Nordic Meteorologists' Meeting
We cordially invite you to participate in the 27th Nordic Meteorologists' Meeting in Finland 7. - 11. June, 2010 in Helsinki
"Nordic Meteorologists' Meeting, a fifty years long tradition"

The deadline for registering to Nordic Meteorologists' Meeting has been moved from 15th March to 31st March.

Call for Papers: the authors of presentations (oral or poster) should submit a tentative title to the organizing committee by 31.03.2010. An abstract should be at the committees disposal by 30.04.2010.

For further information on payment of your conference fee will be found in the registration form. The conference fee should be paid to the bank account by April 30th, 2010.
Venue
The meeting will take place at the headquarters of the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) in Helsinki. The street address is Erik Palmenin aukio 1.

Presentations
Approximately 15-45 minutes including questions will be reserved for oral presentations. A conference volume of abstracts will be available at the beginning of the meeting.

Call for Papers: the authors of presentations (oral or poster) should submit a tentative title to the organizing committee by 31.03.2010. An abstract should be at the committees disposal by 30.04.2010. Please find a template (as a Word document) for the abstracts from here. In order to have a homogeneous abstracts, please follow the instructions given in the template. Thank you in advance for your help.
Information for poster presenters
The poster width should not extend more than 75 cm, the length is only limited by the size of our panels, which are 160 cm high.

Poster width: 75cm max. (or smaller)
Poster length: 120cm (recommend)

Materials for poster fixation will be provided at the meeting, thus you only need to bring the poster with you.
Conference fee
The conference fee including conference volume, coffee and snacks breaks, conference dinner and the excursion to Vaisala Ltd and Suomenlinna Sea Fortress.

Conference fee 150 EUR
Conference fee for students and pensioners 50 EUR
Conference dinner and excursions for accompanying person 60 EUR

For further information on payment of your conference fee will be found in the registration form. The conference fee should be paid to the bank account by April 30th, 2010.
Registration form
A registration form will be found from here. You are kindly asked to fill in this form. The deadline for registering has been moved from 15th March to 31st March (despite that what is written in the form).
Accommodation
A block of single and double rooms has been reserved for participants at certain hotels in Helsinki. Participants are asked to make their reservations directly to these certain hotels. A list of hotels will be found from here. Please use the booking code.
The European Meteorological Society (EMS) Young Scientist Travel Award
Two Young Scientist Travel Awards will be available for young scientists under 35 years of age on the first of January 2010 working and/or studying in a European country. For details see here.
