Weather stations in Finland
Weather forecasts and climate statistics based on weather observations, and observations themselves all are essential in the production of wide selection of services and in atmospheric and environmental research activities.
The Finnish Meteorological Institute regularly produces several kinds of observations nearly from 500 locations around the country. The users of this information are private citizens, or often operate in the fields of aviation, travelling, agriculture, forestry, energy production or maintenance services.
